some info about all president of Burkina Faso (including Blaise Compaoré) - Blaise Compaore has been the President of Burkina Faso since 1987, his party is Congress for Democracy and Progress.  During the president elections in 1991, his victory  was boycotted by the opposition, later he was re-elected in 1998 and 2005
